The Golden BRICK Award provides $25,000 to Unite For Sight, and the award will be used to eliminate preventable blindness in the organization's partner communities in Ghana and India. The award was announced on April 10th, on a televised broadcast in New York City that aired on The CW network. Jennifer and Unite for Sight were selected for a Brick Award in January, and the Golden BRICK was awarded based on five weeks of online voting on Yahoo from March 1 through April 9th. The BRICK Award has been dubbed by CNN as the "Oscars of Youth Service."
