Unite For Sight To Be Featured Weekly on CNN International

Jennifer Staple and Unite For Sight were invited by CNN International to be part of exciting new programming called Be The Change.  Be the Change is a unique opportunity for you to experience the power of social change through action. CNN has equipped Jennifer with a camera, laptop, and skills to create videos for airing on television and on the CNN.com website. She will create videos and blog about her life and Unite For Sight programs for the next twelve months.

You will join Jennifer as she travels throughout the United States, Ghana, and India.  You will meet devoted local eye doctors who restore sight to blind patients, the patients who are seeing again after years of blindness, and the volunteers who participate in Unite For Sight's programs to improve eye care worldwide. 

Jennifer Staple is one of six participants who will be featured as part of Be The Change, committing their lives, their time, and their energy to work for others. CNN writes: "They are living, as Mahatma Gandhi suggested, in service of their ideals. 'We must be the change we wish to see in the world.'"

The participants in this ground-breaking program come from different backgrounds, but hold common values, beliefs and goals. They all want to affect change in our world by helping others. Through this website and project, you can experience Be the Change for yourself, track the progress of the various projects and the people who make up Be the Change. There will be opportunities for you to interact with them. Who knows, it may spur you to take action and become a part of Be the Change. We invite you to find out about the individuals taking part in this program, and the people they are helping. Check back often, because Be the Change is a dynamic, evolving project that launches in mid-September.
